So, Kaz can be found at LDS. Probably in places a scuzzy looking fellow like him shouldn't be. Like on his way to see Akaba. With the current problems, he has at least left his sword with security.

"Yeah, good. You're gonna talk about that too? Whatever that was. Was fucking nightmarish. I'm gonna... think on it. Not gonna talk to him about it right now.

... what if Vesik did something similar to Marias though? Tuned with a Decatron or something?"

But as to Vesik, it's the same problem, functionally: That stopped being a normal Duel the moment Vesik went into "Beast Mode".

He sighs.

"I mean, it was inevitable, wasn't it? That Shark kid uses psychic power to knock around Kachidoki and now we've got dark duels in the pro arena."

Not the first time. The WRGP was a mess and full of Dark Games. It'd be strange frankly if a Dark Game didn't get involved at this point.

"I just thought we were over it, y'know? 'We have gone at least 3 years without trying to kill the audience' and now the counter's reset."

He hooms.

"I don't like it. Whole thing feels... off to me."

"Like... things came to a head last night and exploded, yeah? But... doesn't feel like it's over."

Yeah. That felt like. The opening warning shot on all sides. And I'm not sure if we're "The good guys".

"A small one, I guess. Maybe I'm just jaded. Ain't like the people I associate with are saints.

But it's not like we get a choice, yeah? Shit breaks out, ya kinda end up on the side you're on."

He shrugs.

Well, do you think Mr. Akaba is on the right side? Or means to be, despite whatever happened out there last night?

"I think he means to be, at least. If we discount Isabel 'speaking for the trees' like some sort of overpowered Lorax, I think Vesik's much worse.

Akaba was just letting her and everyone else with magical bullshit know that 'I can play this game too.'"

... Still, whatever that thing was he summoned. It gives me the creeps. The summon chant and those... whips? Whatever they were, were just unnerving.

"I mean, I've made a dark pact or three in my life. Can't judge the guy."

"It is, yeah. I know it's probably different for people who ain't done that.

... But I think he believes he's doing what's best, and I do too, so that's good enough for me."

That's what I'm hoping, but... dark whatever that was, never ends well. Best I can do is hope.
