I doubt she'll do that. She's always been "My issues are mine, and I'll deal with them alone."

"Yeah, figured. Dunno why I'm so hung up on it. Hoping a night of drinking and focusing on other stuff will stop it.

I'm mostly thinking a lot myself. Being a mother does that. So.

And you're hung up on it probably 'cuz she's idiotically self destructive. I think she needs to be proven wrong that everything can be solved on her own and her terms, but, I ain't a shrink and people are alien to one another.

It's mostly just dumb stuff. I have a kid to care for, but I still feel kinda the call to jump at adventure.

"Well, as one parent to another, I can tell you that I couldn't do it. Abandoned most of what I did for it. Up to you though."

She's too cute and too much of a sweetheart, if she likes to play with loud toys.

But I feel bad for not helping more around the city.

"It's not like this place has any lack of a pack of defenders, though.

::Takes a big swig of that whiskey.::

He sighs, watching his whisky disappear.

"Like, I understand it. You've just got to figure out where your priorities lie."

I don't think I ever stopped being a dumb teenager.

"I don't think I did until pretty recently, now that I'm coming up on on 42. Also, you could pass all of this hot-blood onto your own kid too. Show 'em how to fight the good fight."

::Laughs embarrassed, rubbing her hair, and then starts twirling her ponytail.::

"Then you're doing a good job of the whole mother thing, honestly."

He stares a little, before grabbing his booze back and sipping on it.

"Sorry sorry." He passes it back and then flops onto his own back.

"So, what was it that you were thinking you could do?"
