Kaz is doing fine. He's not in some sort of strange state of simultaneous shock and happiness, that'd be crazy talk! ... okay, he's in a state of weird shock with how weird his life has gotten in the last two weeks, let alone last few days. It's probably fine. Kaz can be found:

1. In his personal office at 'Infernal Mysteries' filling up a suitcase. You either have an appointment or you're dropping in on him unexpectedly. Either way, it's the same stuff: Clothes, a wicked looking axe, some sort of tactical gear, ingredients that seem like they could be used to make bombs... The suitcase is clearly not normal.

2. At Flamvell, getting a steady stream of food and carbs and, weirdly enough, just mostly low alcohol beers that he's treating like most people treat water. He seems more... pensive than usual. Like he's got alot on his brain.

3. Out and about, jogging through the park, working out at a gym, or even some agility course. He absolutely still 'has it' though he seems a bit slower than the last time he was really active.

We did basically raise his kid sister once she came to Domino for Duel Academy related stuff. So. Kinda yeah.

"Oh, y'know. Helen violated the laws of causality and made another kid of mine who was barely real into her twin after aging herself up since time has no bearing on her physical or mental age." He blinks. "Eira's doing great though, no notes. Excited to see what she does with her bandit academy training."

Ryozanpaku? I thought that place got shut down due to non-compliance with the leagues and something about a girl the owner was doing something super sketch with. I guess they reorganized under new management.

"There's a non-zero chance they're using time travel and/or alternate dimensions. I just pay the bills and sign the forms, I don't look under the hood."

He sounds like he desperately wants to peek under the hood, but knows it's a bad idea, just in general.

Yeah, that's probably for the best. Man, the kids around here got a bit weird, didn't they?

Granted, I think these two are an extremely special case, considering one is Gwen and I's actual 'real' kid, skipping through pregnancy SOMEHOW and got dumped in Russia's underground scene about 20 years ago, while the other is a combination of reality's mistakes that has attached herself to us like a parasite, because of... reasons, I guess? Whatever, not like I love her any less. I got memories of raising both to 14 even if going by linear time, it doesn't make sense at all."

He drains his beer.

He pauses, considers, and sets out 100k yen.

"Here. And before you ask, yes, I can spare it. No, you don't want to know where it came from, and no, it's not Wakahisa or BV money.

And if you and Sanshi are ever looking to break back into this horseshit that's around us, I'm always hiring for my agency."

I'll have to talk to Sanshi, but. I wouldn't exactly mind a change in venue.

As long as there's a bar for me to tend, nominally. I like that part. But. Hrm.

"I've stopped drinking like a fish, so I ain't got much besides light beers in the office. Not like I was getting drunk these last few years.

However, if you do hear weird shit while you're tending here, I'm down to listen and pay ya for the tip. Consider it field work. You're real social, real nice, and don't stick out as bad as me and Gwen in a crowd, so info gathering and a pulse on the city and rumors would be helpful."

I'll think about it. Let me talk it all over with Sanshi, first, before we go deciding what work I'd be doing.
