[Event Post]
Kaz is doing fine. He's not in some sort of strange state of simultaneous shock and happiness, that'd be crazy talk! ... okay, he's in a state of weird shock with how weird his life has gotten in the last two weeks, let alone last few days. It's probably fine. Kaz can be found:
1. In his personal office at 'Infernal Mysteries' filling up a suitcase. You either have an appointment or you're dropping in on him unexpectedly. Either way, it's the same stuff: Clothes, a wicked looking axe, some sort of tactical gear, ingredients that seem like they could be used to make bombs... The suitcase is clearly not normal.
2. At Flamvell, getting a steady stream of food and carbs and, weirdly enough, just mostly low alcohol beers that he's treating like most people treat water. He seems more... pensive than usual. Like he's got alot on his brain.
3. Out and about, jogging through the park, working out at a gym, or even some agility course. He absolutely still 'has it' though he seems a bit slower than the last time he was really active.

Re: [Event 1]
"I like talking to people, so I don't charge for that. If we figure out what's up, we'll do some stuff to keep both of us from forgetting and go from there." He hrms as he starts setting up a few recording devices, one analogue, one on a cellphone. "You okay with me recording this in like, three different ways?"
Re: [Event 1]
Re: [Event 1]
"One of these'll pop up on my youngest kid's phones, in case this is some weird cognitive thing I can't get through. But it's their wheelhouse, and we're a family business.
State your name, and start talking. I'll prod as needed."
Re: [Event 1]
Uchuu Awayoko.
Yes it's a real name. Mostly.
Uh. So. Like I remember things, but some of it feels. Hazy. Faces get weird. It's a bunch of probably disconnected stuff, that. Just. Ties together. Maybe.
Re: [Event 1]
What're the hazy parts like? Are the faces human faces?"
Re: [Event 1]
I think one case was just my boss's boss's boss's boss just getting into the usual magical rigmarole you might get with dealing with BV adjacent nonsense.
But the other two cases, gets hazier. I think one was asking 'how young can one get hybridization'?
The other was a real odd thing. I think. I think. It was asking 'is there a way to become someone else'.
::Pulls out a candy and sucks on it, trying to keep focused.::
Re: [Event 1]
"How young can one get hybridization. I think I know what that means, but it's damn near useless without context. Who was asking? Any other things you can tell me about where you heard that?
... Someone else. It. Was asking you. Not a person, but an it. Can you tell me about it?"
Re: [Event 1]
As for the second. I felt something. Not human. And it felt like a boring, like a drill sense of boring, just. Weight. It seemed to be avoiding hurting me, but still.
Re: [Event 1]
He scribbles again.
"Drilling weight... And not hurting you, which is a plus, but still a real ominous statement." Scribble, scribble.
"Any other things you can note about the tall women? Colors, maybe? There's alot of colors going around. Same for the second."
Re: [Event 1]
The Hybrid Research Institute that's co-funded by Black Velvet and Leo Corp, and we're getting a third investor soon. I handle boring paperwork, mostly.
...
There was a lot of red, for both, is the best thing I can describe.
Maybe not colored red, but I felt the color red.
Re: [Event 1]
Makes me think that someone was asking someone else about how young they could hybridize a kid. Which, uh. Ain't great. If you've got time and date vague ideas I could maybe figure stuff out through your paperwork when I get back. What I could look at legally anyway. I ain't crossing BV lawyers.
As for the second, I think that's about as much as we can get."
Scribble.
"How's your head? Do we need to stop there?"
Re: [Event 1]
... Might be smart.
::Drumming her fingers.::
I'll be willing to structure payments as needed. Office job, but not *that* cushy, if you get my drift.
Re: [Event 1]
He shakes his head, opening a fridge and offering beer, water, or soda. And a small snack.
"I've been broke too many times in my life to charge ya for this. It's a real weird case, and if I get results I bet it's gonna be wrapped up in something else going on, judging by everything.
Consider this more of giving me a tip on on-going cases if that helps assuage your guilt on not paying me. I'll do my due diligence on this of course, but I'll be honest, it's not a whole lot to go off of at the moment."
Re: [Event 1]
... If any part's independent, you can always talk about it, and I wouldn't mind paying.
I've been broke too often too but I like making sure people get paid. But otherwise, sure, I guess.
Re: [Event 1]
"If it does end up being independent, I'm super flexible with payment plans, and we'll work something out. Usually charge on a pay-grade scale anyway.
I appreciate it. It's partly that it's likely it's wrapped up in things, and partly that it's honestly just vague enough that I can't promise results, so I ain't gonna take payment until I have them."
Re: [Event 1]
That works for me, just. If it's it's own thing, fine.
If not, fine
Thanks for the snack.
