A not needed to understand this post short story, but maybe to understand other character's actions. Quarter recent events, three fourths flashback. A Kazback.

Kaz has standing business! Thankfully, this is because he is very busy and has a tendency to drag his feet and not because the person writing him disappears for half a week at a time.

He's either:

1.) Hanging out on the Barian island. More books, more relaxation. Make sure he doesn't get that in.

2.) On LDS' campus, waiting for some of his 'special classes' to start. And maybe congratulate some people in person, since they've done so well.

3.) Maybe he's at your house after some agonizing soul searching, dressed in a suit, trying really hard to look professional. ... it's very hard for him.

Don't mind me. I'm just making sure to stay in practice. I need to be ready in case those creatures return.

Indeed.

Just because they're incapable of being reasoned with, doesn't mean they lack the intelligence to judge a situation. Especially the stronger they are.

I-- and others-- will need to be ready. *swings once more. it's actually very impressive that she can swing that thing-- compared to it, she's actually rather small, or the axe is just very large.*

Understandable.

They specifically can't be taken down permanently, unless destroyed by a specific method. Usually, however, it takes time for them to reconstitute themselves and find a way back.

But since they were using Cestus' partner, the second part was made easier for them. Not so much, anymore.

Essentially, the only things that can truly destroy them are our Weapons, or specific abilities, like Tsukumo's overlaid form.

That's because, at the root, it's the Astrals' power that counteracts them.

... Of course, relatedly, things like "Rank-Up-Magic" also were the Astrals' power, at it's root conception. But I don't know how far that goes.

Just as long as you don't get the idea to make any deals with those creatures. Or use them as tools.

At least they can be reasoned with. They're a species who has built up their own worlds, who rule over their own people and have their own agreements.

Of course, personally, I still wouldn't make pacts with anything, but we've communed with many different groups in our time.

The demons are generally only concerned with two things: Territory, and a food source.

That's about it.

Yes. Not only do we have our own experiences-- though Failnaught's would be the most complete of us... We also have the facilities, where the Legendary Numbers are housed.

However, some of the facilities are... defunct.
