Uh.
How would one go about... uh. Unparadoxing someone without doing any lasting damage to their psyche/memories/etc.

Not a clue. That's a secret that only three people I could think of would know:
• Walpurga the Great Paradox, the bio-computer that ran the society that only 'Mother' would know the location of. And it would never tell you, because you're beneath us.
• Bohr the Founder, one of the founders but he's since vanished due to the society's collapse. He wouldn't tell you because of the above, and there's speculation at the end he was a puppet for Walpurga.
• Eden the Dirac Sea, the Renegade Founder. You'll never find her. We looked for her and never could find her.

Huh. Yeah, that sounds like her modus operandi.

Realistically, Eden would be the easiest choice, because she was a heretic who wasn't concerned about much of the policy the other founders assembled.
But again:
No one's seen her in ages.
And no one would know her face. She never showed it to anyone.

In THEORY what would I need to do?

Sew their origin point together with their history.
Basically force their origin back into the world, would be my theory, so there's a sense of continuity.
But I'd never want that for myself.
no subject
Maybe not then.
no subject
Or forged a new one out of whole cloth?
no subject
Then you'd have a new origin and they might as well not be the same person, potentially.
no subject
Might be worth looking into because if we can craft one close enough but less terrible because if Kazzy's not a fan it's bad, right? Or we use this to closely experiment with nature vs nurture...

But Kazzy~ Think of the progress! All of the theories we can test with this! What makes someone them? The possibilities!

no subject
Yeah, that was all sorts of levels of no.
no subject
Fine, fine. We do it Euphemia's way. I think even between the two of us, that's going to be hard though~ Might need Gwen's muscles, so to speak.

Read my lips, you braindead morons:
The formula and data needed to pull off this stuff is beyond me or Gwendolyn. Gwendolyn was essentially The Drop-Out Girl of the society, subsisting on sheer talent.
I could do it but I never got initiated as a Grand Sage, only a Star Grand Pupil, which is the equivalent of your "Grad Student" or "Teacher-Adjunct". Without vital components of the mathematical formulas involved, it could blow up.
And as I said, there are only likely 3 sources.
One of which is with "Mother", but Walpurga would probably convince you two to kill yourselves just from talking to it. Over multiple micro-collapsing timelines.
Bohr hasn't been seen since the collapse.
And the only non-vindictive one hasn't been seen since she was run out of the Society! And no one knows what they/she looks like.

Again, I think I can track down this Eden person.
[Private to Kaz]
Why do you ask?
Re: [Private to Kaz]
Re: [Private to Kaz]
If you pull the ring off roughshod, she just turns into a Japanese-American cousin of mine.
Re: [Private to Kaz]
... Uh. May sound weird, but I'm a suspicious bastard. Eden of the Dirac Sea sound familiar at all to ya? One of your names, maybe?
Re: [Private to Kaz]
Euphie has it right, I'm pretty sure.
I've heard of her. She was a founder of the Illusion Witches who disagreed with the rest of the order and got ran off for having a concreteky different view of how to deal in Illusion/Dream Magic.
Why do you think she'd be me?
Re: [Private to Kaz]
It sounds like you or Sullivan's 'best intentions' sort of thing. And then watching something you made slowly go to the dogs? Yeah. I'd have put good money on this.
Regardless, Gwen's origin sounds like garbage and the world she's from sounds like shit I don't want back.
Re: [Private to Kaz]
Just because she was a good-intentions type of person, doesn't mean she was me. There are plenty of people with the best of intentions.
You need her origin or she stops being Gwendolyn.
Re: [Private to Kaz]
Ain't worth it.
Re: [Private to Kaz]
You're too suspicious. It's making you conspiracy theories where there are none. What evidence would there even be besides those hunches.
Then enjoy fake Gwendolyn. Deleting your own origin is dangerous. Frankly, the fact her and Euphemia hold together as well as they do, despite being walking errors in reality, is frankly incredible. Steel wills.
Re: [Private to Kaz]
She ain't fake. Just got a few... problems. I'm helping sort out. Just wanted to replace that ring on her finger, is all.
Re: [Private to Kaz]
Have you considered I'm just charitable. Besides. Why the hell would I call myself "Eden", instead of "Noriko".
I'm saying.
You need her origin point to tie to her current self. The sum total of Gwendolyn the Wave-Function is her origin and her circumstances from the origin. Without an origin, reality has to correct a massive series of errors regarding "A non existent person who appeared out of nowhere". It hates that sort of nonsense.
Re: [Private to Kaz]
Fine, I'll drop it for the moment.
Right, which is what the ring is doing. Which means I DO have to track down Eden, because I may just break your super computer or it's gonna break me and that's not gonna be productive either way.
Re: [Private to Kaz]
Well, I can tell you what I do know from stories:
Rumor has it you can find her if you're willing to walk down into hidden dimensions, with bravery. That she hid herself in the echoes of nonexistence the Fallen Sea of Stars, and beyond the Grave of the Apocalypse of a Thousand Weapons. Far beyond the stars.
She passed down all the roads of time, twilight and dreams long ago, and she threw away her mask to conceal herself.
Then again, others say the rumor was put out there by Jezebel the Higgs-Boson, her chief rival who had a completely different view of how the order should of gone.
Re: [Private to Kaz]
Fine then. I'm brave and I'm mean and I'm god damned determined to help the woman I love. You seemed pretty dead set on me being good to her and I'm pretty sure this is the best thing I can do. I don't wanna make her just a cousin or something ridiculous, that ain't the girl I fell in love with. Which, thank whatever's looking out for me that Sullivan doesn't have the ability to do this.
I'm gonna get my shit in order and I'll take this horrifically dumb, eldritch quest. But I'm gonna need one thing from you, since you seem at least kinda interested in me succeeding and I'm gonna try and travel light.
Re: [Private to Kaz]
Which is?
Re: [Private to Kaz]
And I'm gonna trust that more than I'm gonna trust anything. I ain't ever found a deck that I trust. But I do trust myself.
Re: [Private to Kaz]
Get me the Deck you like most.
And bring your soul.
