You find Kaz on a construction site in Domino, wearing a beat up t-shirt and a pair of ragged jeans. He's on a smoke break, his other hand wrapped around a glass of water. He alternates between the two, mostly just staring off into the skyline before he has to get back to work.

"Yeah, it is. Crazy how much this stuff is needed in Domino."

He grins widely at you.

"How ya been, Mr. Hallucination?"

I'm kinda surprised, it seemed like no one wanted to come here to do anything, for a while. *he shrugs a bit*

Oh fine, fine. I'm finally free of forced education. Now I'm getting ready to go to France.

"Well, maybe we're all just stupid. Or brave."

He nods.

"I kinda want to go, but I think paying the bills for a bit is gonna be important. So, I talked it over and with a bit of, ah. Persuasion." A longer pause than probably necessary. "I convinced Cyril to head with you folks."

*he didn't expect that* What, really? I mean, appreciate it and all that, but you didn't need to. That angry violent girl's supposed to be going or something, too, and then there's Shinoko and I and our dragons. Seems like a fairly capable team.

*thinks about it* ... Actually you know what, yes, it's good you told him to come. I want to see what happens, now.

"Gonna be honest, just wanted him out of my hair and not staring sadly at me or doors." A shrug.

"...Which hyper violent woman? We've got a whole lot."

Uh, the one with the dark hair that was attacking folks for a bit there, who has some sort of weird vendetta against Numbers. Sadame was pretty bugged by her for a bit, cause I guess she hurt some of his students.

[ogrewarrior]

"Oh, Alex or something? Yeah, I know who you're talking about now. She seems... yeah. It'll be a good time. You guys oughtta check out Paris this time of year too."

Yeah, that's her name. I'm not too good with names, so I just think "angry violent girl".

... If I've got time, I will. It all depends on what kinda state we're left in after it. Noriko's making a gate or something for Shinoko and I to go through, at least. Oh, and I think that cop guy? I dunno. I didn't want to argue with him.

"Onni? Powers above, the boy needs to take a break. You, ah. Make sure that idiot gets some R&R out there, you guys can all do the heavy lifting I'm sure. And take Cyril with you in the portal. The last airplane he was in... kinda blew up."

Maybe you should distract the cop guy then. Until he forgets to come with. It'll be a pure accident.

*he's half joking.*

"...Maybe I'll do that." He rubs at his beard, considering you.

"So, what's the angle of you folks? Trying to keep this mysterious woman from getting numbers?"

Well, it's more just a hunch. An itch, I guess. Shinoko and I came across the spot this thing's likely at before, and Dark Mist was trying to find something there. Something tells me that whatever is there, it shouldn't really be messed with, you know?

The whole area around it is kinda screwed up, especially.

If you're going to smoke, shouldn't you just go all the way and drink something unhealthy but tastes good too.

::This is a young woman in her twenties in some doofy outfit. She seems normal and non-squid enough.

"How screwed up are we talking? Like, Domino, or 'great evil sleeps under the stones here' screwed up?"

[ogrewarrior]

"Probably shouldn't drink my unhealthy drinks of choice on site. That'll be when I make it back to where I'm staying." He grins at the girl, nose twitching a bit.

Like "we literally wouldn't be able to find the place unless if we knew exactly where it was" level.

It exists to keep folks away. We pretty much only managed to get an inkling of where it was cause the dragons picked up Dark Mist's scent. Damn divine bloodhounds.

[ogrewarrior]

"Oh, boy. That's gonna be a pain in the ass to work at." He crushes his cigarette out with a hand.

"I really hope that it works out. I mean, crunch the number or keep people away from it. Which means that Cyril and Alex are gonna be hindrances."

A little, but you know what? It's better that we're doing something about it, I guess, instead of just sitting around and waiting.

Besides, Shinoko and I know where it is. So locating it won't be a problem. Just the place itself gives me a headache.

He shrugs, as if he has opinions, but he's not saying anything.

"I'd like to see these legendary numbers, so bring me back some pictures, alright? People are pickin' the numbers up like pokemon anyway." He laughs at that, then nodding.

"I'd think a place like that is... Closed off for a reason, but better the devils we know with the big evil pokemonsters, right?"

"Nah, ain't too big a fan on super sweet shit."

Right right, of course.

... If you want to see a Number, I could just show you what one looks like.

*he decides showing you the more morally questionable Number would be a dumb idea.

So he takes out a different card. It looks to be a blue crab with a large diamond encrusted back, with a 52 on one of it's claws.*

I found this one in Italy, actually.

"Really? What a... ...Well, it looks kinda like a normal monster to me. Tough as fuck though, but. Still, pretty normal."

[ogrewarrior]

I don't think I want to know she's probably an animated corpse drenching herself in perfume

"Nah, savory. Whiskey, wine, steaks, potatoes. You know."

... Potatoes. Also don't mention steak. I think two of my friends live on steak.

Well, that's the thing about the Numbers. A lot of them are just normal monsters. They're just monsters that got branded for one reason or another.

Oh, and sometimes they decide they don't want to be destroyed by anything but Numbers, but I think that's dependent on the like, feelings behind the duel?
