I don't really like the sound of any of this... and it seems you don't either. And the fact that it involves kids on both sides doesn't sit well with me either...
But in the end, it sounds like leaking this information might put us all in danger.

We'll keep this to ourselves, for now, as a thank you for at least coming to us and telling us the truth about all this, apparently against your bosses wishes. But if I think those kids are being put in unnecessary danger, then I might have to re-think it. For now, I'm going to trust you to have their best interests at heart and that they'll eventually be told about this.
I also hope that your boss knows what the hell he's doing!
