1.) Kaz sits in a patio restaurant, eating a sandwich, drinking a beer, and smoking occasionally. Maybe you've called him there to meet after a nightmare meeting, or you're there to ruin his afternoon. What looks like a bakery package is at his feet He's also considering some notes on his tablet, but seems much more interested in his lunch.

2.) Or he's on the Barian island. True to his word, he has brought a few different kinds of beer, a boar hunting spear, a book, and Sullivan, who seems really excited to be there..

"She give you a name? We've pissed off alot of people, so that don't narrow it down much."

He hooms.

"...Might she be related to your uncle and sister? And everyone I've talked to about the... well, my kids. Trendafilka's an inferno. The girl's a delight, but I don't think she realizes how dangerous she is."

...Layla Adams? I think? It was definitely Adams, she said to tell someone else with the same last name that she's looking for them or something.

And uh, yeah. She said some stuff that sounded like it might be related. Something about me being marked by her servant, I dunno. It's kind of a blur, you know?

"Oh. That's... distressing if it is who I think it is. Did she happen to say... Sullivan?"

Uh... yeah, I'm pretty sure. Is this bad?

"Should've gotten a third cake... 'sorry your sister came back as a devil.'

Uh... That's... My police partner's little sister, I'm pretty sure."

He groans and rubs his temples.

*Sigh of relief*

So... she's not a spirit then? That explains the crows, she just seemed kinda eccentric.

"Oh, no. She's definitely something I don't think I've dealt with in a while. See, uh. Sullivan's actually. In her body. Soul and memories were missing from it when they got into it.

So, she's probably a spirit. And since she's been out of her body so long and not faded away, that's one helluva grudge she's got, or she's been eating duel spirits to keep herself from being called."

Oh, jeez... uh...

It's a good thing I didn't take her to SAI then.

"Yeah. I don't... think she wants or needs help. I think what she's looking for is, uh. Vengeance. Which makes this... kinda complicated.

Hoo, boy."

He looks closely at you.

"How sure are ya about her being wrapped up in your family stuff? And how sure are you about maybe taking her in a duel?"

Uh, I've been pretty confident about dueling ever since I beat Mr. Cyril. As for family stuff, uh...

I guess it could be connected, but that stuffs still kinda... weird, you know?

"Alright. ... Wouldn't surprise me if she's also got something... weird up her sleeves, more cards that aren't 'in print' so to speak. Be careful if she DOES confront you.

...if it is? Well. We'd need to do more digging with her and in your family, wouldn't we?"

I... suppose so, yeah...

He groans and sets his head on the table. His tablet dings. He stares at it and just slides it into his jacket.

"Anything else you can think of, kid?"
